Huh. Shuttle has Intel G33 systems already for sale

Nah, Shuttle's been putting it up there for a few years now.

    GA-G33M-DS2R

Gigabyte boards tend not to support BSEL mods, and there's been at least one report that this one is no exception.

    Abit IT-90HD Owner's How's Your Board?

"Sadly"? I have a feeling that 256MB would be much more useful as main system memory, than it would taking an X700-level GPU up to a pretty-silly 512MB.

    GA-G33M-DS2R

So pvhk....wanna be the first to mod your BIOS menu and maybe fry your pretty little board? :D

How to set F-I90HD to 4-4-4-12

Depends on the motherboard and SPD settings; just up the voltage first, then see what the SPD picks up as. If it's not the timings you expect, change it yourself to whatever you want to try, and run memtest+ to see that everything is solid.

How to set F-I90HD to 4-4-4-12

Corsair rates those 5-5-5-18 at 800MHz and default VDIMM (1.8); that's what your first SPD values are reading as. The 4-4-4-12 at 800MHz rating is at 2.1v, so you need to bump the VDIMM.

    Abit IT-90HD Owner's How's Your Board?

"Shipped." Some people have used tools like modbin to restore options (like more memory clock speeds) to the BIOS menu that Abit has disabled in their provided versions; that's what the poll is talking about.

    Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

I dunno, I've power-cycled my F-I90HD plenty of times via the hard power-off without issue. About the only power-cycle quirk I've found is that my CMOS doesn't typically clear without removing supplied power entirely (either by flipping the PSU switch or unplugging the power cord). EDIT...

    Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

Keep in mind the OC that pvhk is quoting is for an E6700 with its 266MHz FSB. From your thread a couple of weeks back you're going with an E4300, right? I wouldn't count on getting near even 310 starting from there with most G965 boards, which is why people were psyched about the BSEL mod...

The Unofficial List of Good mATX Motherboards (Overclocking and Not)

I'm not sure I can think of a consumer application that demands it more these days. Gaming PCs might make huge demands on the GPU, but unassisted, HD-resolution decoding of modern video codecs at very high bitrates isn't without challenge until at least around the 3.2-3.3GHz C2D mark.

    Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

pvhk reported someone else's EasyTune overclock to FSB=384MHz; no information as to how stable things were at that point, and which onboard components were still working at that speed, since he only posted a 1M SuperPi at 368MHz.

    Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

The entire spectrum between the two; there's no terribly apparent pattern to it.

    GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 or Fatal1ty F-i90HD?

The GA-965GM-S2 was the mATX board I went with before I picked up the F-i90HD. I'd say, with the exception of firewire, the latter is a superior board in just about every manner, especially when it comes to overclocking; the GA-965GM-S2 locks none of the buses, so while you can get some decent...

    Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

Well, again, the problem's not the TOSLINK output per se, just the need to encode the sound mixer's output into a compressed multichannel before sending it there, like the Soundstorm stuff does. That said, there are, I think, some cards out there that will do so; Auzentech, for instance has a...
