Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Okay I was just worried that my CPU wouldn't OC as well if I decide to do so later if I had the 470. That's good to know. Also do you really think my case will be that loud?
As far as preferences go when it comes to features it's basically just whatever benefits me more while gaming. I mostly...
Hi guys,
I'm laying down the finishing touches on my new gaming rig but I have been having trouble deciding which video card to get. I'm trying to decide between the following cards:
1. MSI N470GTX Twin Frozr II
2. Sapphire Radeon HD 6870
3. XFX Radeon HD 6870
4. XFX Radeon HD 6870...
Okay great. That keeps a cheap case open as an option still haha. All of the others are about $80-$90 give or take a few. The HAF912 is only $50 though. I was thinking I could just add a top 200MM fan and a side 120MM fan, giving it a total of 4 fans for a total cost of $66 (Coolermaster...
Haven't had any information regarding its length but most people seem to compare it to the 5970. My guess is it will be about 30cm (12 inches) long based on what I have been told.
That certainly cuts down on my list of potential cases lol. Are you certain about the HAF 912 with its removable...
Update:
Trying to figure out which case would be best for me now. I've built up quite a list since I've been looking around last night. The HAF 912 seems to be a nice, cheap choice. I've also been looking at the HAF922. I'll just list my now gigantic list of choices below as I've gotten...
Oh I just noticed however that the -E only has 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16) and 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (@x4 mode, 2.5GT/s, black slot). Most cards I've looked at were single at x16 or dual at x8/x8. Would that make a difference for me since I plan to use two video cards?
I get a load of people recommending the P7P55D-E Pro. Maybe I should be getting that instead haha. Though I plan to Xfire two 6870s so maybe it'd make more sense to get the regular P7P55D-E.
Don't live in America so no special deals for me. :(
Oh I know what you mean... I'm just wondering now what would be a better option instead of the Sabertooth. At the moment I don't know when I would need those new features.. but I guess it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay for something that lacks them ha. Would one of the P7P55D motherboards be...
Is the Seagate really that much slower? From reviews I looked at it seemed to be just below the other brands in the same category, though actually was faster than them all as far as game load times was concerned (my biggest concern). If so... my only other options are the Western Digital FAEX...
Hey guys,
I've been spending a lot of time looking over components and trying to get the best parts for the money for my new system, and I've received a great deal of help and advise from the community. I was just looking for some final thoughts on my build before I push the purchase button...
Hi all,
I'm currently looking to build a new gaming rig and I'm having trouble deciding on which motherboard to use. Hoping some of you can provide some input and opinions. I've looked at benchmarks and reviews and get mixed results all the time.
First of all I should mention I plan on...
Okay after getting a lot of recommendations from various people to use an i5 760 CPU with 4GB of DDR3 1333 RAM and doubling up on my video cards with either 2x Radeon 6870 or 2x NVidia 460 GTX (OC'd); I've been trying to select a new motherboard.
I'm having difficulty deciding which is best...
Wow thank you very much for the informed reply! This is the sort of answers I've been looking for actually. Obviously I don't know what I'm doing lol.
Regarding the CPU issue: I've been using this http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
to judge what's best for me. However I admit I'm...
