Been lookin for a new FPS for my desktop. I've always liked Halo but not sure if it would be as good multiplayer for PC. I'd consider getting it for the XBOX but I still want a new PC FPS...suggestions? And does anybody have Halo Reach for the PC? If so how's online experiance?
Upgraded the drivers last night, same problems. Ran the 64bit dxdiag, same reporting. Downloaded the profiles, but what do those do? Do I just need to install them or do I have to change something?
I just put a new system together and am trying to work out the kinks. I've been playing a bit of starcraft 2 and have had some FPS issues. Here's what I got:
Mobo: Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
Processor: Phenom II x6 1090t
Video Cards: 2x Sapphire 5870's
RAM: 8GB @ 1333mhz
OS: win7 64bit
Not...
I was running with a single 5870 for a while, it's ok but it depends on if you want to max your settings. It works fine but I didn't play any of the demanding FPS games (crysis, mafia ii, etc..). Otherwise it works fine. I got an extra 5870 and crossfired them just in case I want to go for...
How much money / time do you think this would cost you? I'd be interested in the results. I'm not a fan of WC, I think it's too much upkeep. I think as long as the duct isn't terribly long, and the fan at the end is big enough, you might get good results. But I also think the amount of hot...
I've actually heard of a very similar problem with alienware systems.

Post #6 started to question the issue with the blu ray players. I didn't bother reading the rest of...

No problem btw, but I definitely recommend using the step by step build on corsairs website. I used that with the mobo / power supply / h50 manuals to do the majority of the install. Things started to come back to me after 10 years lol. Altho the H50 was a huge change from just a fan back in...
Oh ok now I feel like a tard lol. And I got the AX850 - its the model that you plug all the cables in to the power supply yourself. I didn't see the cable in the case, I'll take another look later. Thx Redbeard.
Here's another test...it's a lot cooler in here tonight so thats probably why...
Ok, well I finished quite late last night. Took me about 5.5 hours...yeah I know I'm slow. I used corsair's step by step build here (it was VERY helpful):

I have a lot of the same parts...
Case - Corsair 800D
Power Supply...
Will do, UPS guy just got here as I was writing this...haven't put a computer together in quite some time though (~10 yrs) so it might take me some time...!
I got the same case just a few days ago. The rest of my parts are comin in today. Went with 2x 5870s, the 1090t, and an H50. I don't have any extra fans but I'll post my results as soon as I get them in. My 2nd 5870 doesn't get in until Monday but I'll post what temps I'm getting when it does.
