I agree. I've never had one single SCP, picky memory, or related "flaky" problem with any (Asus or others) Intel-based chipset motherboard. Ever.

This has been my experiences as well. Rock-solid Intel based chipset motherboards (i.e. 965) have never given me the problems that all of the past Nvidia, VIA, or other chipset based motherboards have given me.
The worst problems were way back when the Nvidia Nforce4 motherboards first game...
