X-Fi disappearing in Vista 32 bit?

I actually saw this with an OEM XFi Music Xtreme in XP. It didn't occur all the time but it was annoying. When I switched to a Retail one the problem went away... Had no problems using the XFi Music Xtreme in Vista but I suspect it might be causing the wake from sleep I experience.

Overclocking with overdrive doing nothing on 3850? help please.

You might need one of the modded BIOSes to get over the clock lock at a certain frequency. There's also a pencil mod to get a few more volts. More info at www.xtremesystems.org/forums

    ATI 3850 cooling?

The DuoOrb fits well on this card. One of the reviews put it one one of the 512Mb models + some RAM sinks. Worked very well but can't remember which review.

Would an Thermalright XP-90 be compatable with DFI's SLI-DR mobo?

Fit's nicely on my Ultra-D which has an identical layout to the SLI-D(R). Most people have the sticky out bit pointing towards the RAM slots.

The Nividia firewall is probably the major cause of BSOD's. The software is shocking.

    A64 socket 939 PCI-EX boards?

I would go for the DFI Has the Asus A8N-SLI, lower overclock and less stable than the DFI NF4 Ultra I replaced it with. I was in two minds about buying the Asus when I got it but I had limited choice. My previous experiences with Asus have not been positive (My P4P800 died in a matter of...

Devils Adcovate (Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe -vs- DLI nf4 SLI-DR)

Had the Asus A8N-SLI and switched it out for the DFI NF4-Ultra. I get a better overclock and better overall stability with the DFI. I don't know about stateside but the Asus A8N-SLI is the cheapest SLI board in the UK. In addition, not as many places stock the DFI boards.

    nforce4 vs nforce4 ultra

Although the HTT multiplier makes virtually no difference to the performance, most people have found that they have been able to run their NF4 4x at 1000 (=5x multiplier). I did read somewhere that by closing certain bridges on the NF4 4x you can enable SATA-II but I can't remember...

Asus A8N-SLI nforce4 Network Access Manager

To be honest most people aren't using it. It's too buggy, problematic and hates the large number of connections P2P users. If you start seeing HTTP.SYS BSOD's the Nvidia Firewall is the cuplrit.

Asus SLI Deluxe Mobo (Bios 1006)

Not sure where my manual is at the moment.... I think it's in CPU setup (the one which has the Cool and Quiet option) and there's a memory submenu - it's in there. The ratio's aren't actually given - it gives the RAM speed based on the default HTT / FSB bus speed of 200MHz. Setting range...

    nforce 4 driver issues

6.00PG refers to the Award BIOS code which the boards BIOS is based on. This will not vary between bios revisions. Some Bioses do tell you which version it is. Some use a string of characters along the bottom of the boot screen. Can't help you any further with your problems - I've had no...
