Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
As the title says, I did the free upgrade from windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 a few months ago on my gaming/desktop rig and shit has worked quite well. I was surprised to see a lot of win7 features carry over that aren't available in win10 such as image backups, sticky notes, and a few...
I'm no expert, but doesn't this put into question the entire encryption scheme? How well is the data actually encrypted if it can be so trivially accessed?
It is. Google is just doing what every other ISP in North America is doing and forwarding the notices. I'm not sure what's up with Steve's fear mongering blurbs on the front page, pretty sure its just to drive traffic
"cord cutting—has gone from a tech-world fantasy to a viable mainstream option in what seems like a matter of months."
Interesting. I "cut the cable" and have been downloading ALL of my TV shows and movies for over 12 years.
It does. I think I have a starting point now anyways, and if this solution will work with several external disks, would they all have to be plugged in during the backup?
I've gone through the documentation for zrep, but I'm at a loss as to how it's supposed to manage a backup across several offline external disks. This script seems to be more for failover and replication. I'm not looking at standing up another server..
Edit: I suppose in the title I should have...
So I've determined that the best way to backup my 11TB ZFS pool is to just buy a few external 4TB WD element drives and plug them in once every few days and update them with new files. The files on the server rarely, if never get modified so I think this shouldn't be too much work to manage, but...
I bought a Surface Pro just for playing music in the car, but I find myself using it for work more than anything. My desktop? No.. There's not a tablet on earth that could replace this beast.
Corsair should have just stuck with making RAM. I find all of their other products from CPU coolers, cases, to PSU's to be cheap and uninteresting. Their focus seems to have gone from making quality products to flashy products. They truly have become the ricers of the PC world.
What risks? I don't know if people were paying attention but the whole game was complete letdown. It was a horribly ported, buggy port. The pathetic attempt at creating a "hacking" game has forever stained the franchise, if Ubisoft's own reputation hasn't already done so.
