Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a D975XBX with an Intel Pro/1000 PL LAN using a 82573E/82573L controller. That's the easy part.
I have spent the better part of the last hour trying to find out if I can support Jumbo Frames (since my NAS apparently loves them). According to Intel, the 82573E/82573L controllers do not...
Oh man... I just lost my sound with my A8N32-SLI, too. I stopped by the forums to see if I could find an answer...
I guess I'll wait here along with ya.
Um. Does this look right to anyone? It's from a Intel DG965WH and an E6300 with stock HSF that I built for a friend.
Of course, I can pass it off as a sick cooling manuever: "Running -42c at load. Using a dual-phase pass converter and 8 flux inverters. Cooled by liquid methane and using...
You could probably assume that. EVGA doesn't seem to like to put their "lastest and greatest" into the step-up until a bit of time has gone by. Sound marketing practice...but depressing for users like us.
But, I don't work for EVGA, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. They may...
Good news and bad news: Step-up apparently works in Canada...and the 7900GTO is not going to be available for step-up. (At least not any time soon...).
Three days ago. I only had about ten days left. It seems as though EVGA has something against me...
Although, to tell the truth, I'm kinda glad I droppped a slot. If I keep dropping, maybe I will be in line for a G80. :D
Or not... *sigh*
I"m not sure if this is what you are talking about, but you do need to short the jumpers to get to the "advanced" settings. My D975XBX did the same thing, till I bought a conductive ink pen and shorted it. Now I can get to the "advanced" goodness. In that menu is the ability to "Burn-In" the FSB...
Dang...the truth is out.
Yes, I like matching sets. Maybe it is OCD...maybe it's symmetry. I have no idea. But, again, I don't need an ATI brand Crossfire...but I really, really feel like I should have one.
I'm going to take some meds and lie down. :(
I'd like a X1950 CF card, too. Maybe one day. *sigh*
I think going the "mismatched" route is the way to go for right now. I shop at ZZF and the Egg all the time, and I'm just not seeing much available...even from different manufacturers.
Dillusion posted links to a bunch of Connect3d...
Everywhere I have seen says "1-2 Weeks" or "Soon". So...soon?
About ATI and their site, I have no idea. The only CF Edition cards listed are an X1800 or a bundle with X1600. If they make the cards, you'd think they would have more than that. That was partly the reason for my initial question...
Ok...I guess I could have been a little more clear. I was looking for an ATI BRAND X1900 CF card. Out of the 6 links provided, one was ATI branded and they are 1) out of stock and 2) $525.
So. As anarchist pointed out, I guess I can use another brand, but I like "matching sets". I will wait...
Seriously.
I just made the jump to ATI, got an ATI X1900XT (stupid X1950XT two weeks later... *shakes fist*) and was about to get an ATI X1900 Crossfire Edition. But there are no more.
Since I'm new to ATI, can I use another brand X1900 CF? Which would you recommend, brand-wise? I use eVga...
Strangely enough, the core temp app showed the exact same temps as the BIOS temps with the E6600. I think they were different when I used my D950, though... can't remember.
