Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Just following up. I decided to go slightly bigger than Danny's recommendation.
Here is my system with the new P8Z77-V PRO installed. Everything is working perfectly (so far).
Thanks for your help!
Thanks Danny.
I have been using ASUS motherboards for my last few builds, but have been thinking of trying a Gigabyte. What do you think of their Z77 products?
The USB ports on my P8P67 Deluxe are acting up. Any advice on a worthy replacement that would support the following hardware would be appreciated. BTW I would not be averse to choosing a MB from a different manufacturer.
Core i7-2600K
4 x 4GB Patriot DDR3 1333 RAM
Crucial M4 (256 GB)
2 x...
Thanks everyone for your input. The cards are in. So far so good.
The steps I took:

Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode
Swap hardware
Install NVIDIA drivers
I will be replacing my 6950 Crossfire setup with a couple of EVGA 680s when they are delivered on Monday (yay). I've searched the forum and noticed some posts advising the use of Driver Sweeper and others mentioning that just running the AMD uninstaller is sufficient to prepare the computer for...
FYI I ordered 2 EVGA 680s from Amazon on April 1st and got a shipping notification this morning (April 6th) at 12:30 AM. Prime shipping should have them at my door on Monday the 9th.
Everything is ordered.
Amazon does not have the processor in stock so I ordered it from Tiger Direct (2 day shipping).
I dislike the way Amazon packages hard drives for shipping, so I ordered the Spinpoint from NewEgg (along with the Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard). My friend recommended a...
I have been researching your list exhaustively Danny!
I like the Lian Li PC-A71F but Amazon does not sell it.
Second choice is the Cooler Master ATCS 840 but (you guessed it) Amazon does not sell it...
They have the Corsair 800D, but it is a massive beast. It will barely fit...
Ugh. I am having a hard time deciding on a case. The reason I was looking at the HAF X is because Cooler Master apparently included some dust filters over the fans.
Any suggestions for a full tower case?
