    It's not the pci-e 16x 1.0s fault at all.. It's that slow cpu. Overclock to 3.4ghz+ and you'll see a big increase as right now you're just bottlenecking that poor card.

    Is a Core2Quad still relevant nowadays?

    I'm still running an e8600 at 4.3GHz that's.. I can't even remember how old now. It does perfectly fine in any game other than the shittily coded Black Ops. If you can get your quad to 3.6+ you should be fine to hold out 'til Ivybridge like I'm doing.:D
