Backblaze: Hard Drive Stats for Q2 2017

This makes me sad. I worked at Seagate and can say that there are a lot of good people who work their ass off trying to reduce failure rates. What you're seeing is probably a result of the consolidation of the 2 Chinese factories. I can't be sure, but drives that had been previously...

Any LTC miners out there willing to answer some questions?

This. I just blew 2 650 W power supplies each supporting a triple crossfired 7850 rig. They were the cheapest PSU that support greater than x2 PCIe connectors, but still, running a sinlge core amd cpu, i figured that given my power research on the 7850, even running all out, it would only...

Any LTC miners out there willing to answer some questions?

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/calculator Don't know if this has been posted yet. Great ROI calculator. You need to adjust your difficulty increase per segment realistically though. I currently use 7.5% as a conservative estimate given the climate. Looking over it again, 7.5% seems to be...

LTC difficulty is really cranking up

I agree, I have three rigs going @3,100 K/hs total, and currently LTC provides a better ROI on the capital equipment (triple and quad crossfired rigs). Once I make of the capital cost, i'll probably switch over to ftc. Although I think that the difficulty will probably taper off, its still...

Because I would love a realiable power supply that doesn't blow up when i try to Tri crossfire or quad crossfire!!

    litecoin rate seems low

Try changing your intensity, I've heard that running it at 20 may actually reduce its khas/s. Also, a lot of what is reported is using very high OC values for core. See if running the miner changes the core value, and if it doesn't look into what others are using as their OC values and try...

World's Most Elaborate Bitcoin Mining Operation?

I really hope those are ASIC boards and not GPU's. . . If they turn over to Litecoins, GG to no one group being over 51% market bandwidth share.

Any LTC miners out there willing to answer some questions?

Yea, but if the best thing to do it is GPU's, the rise in difficulty won't be near as bad as the FPGA/ASIC throttling that bitcoin experienced.

Any LTC miners out there willing to answer some questions?

Yea, you're right except for the fact that you're actually referring to the FPGA units by Crypto Industries instead of the ASIC Units from Alpha Tech. I don't think the FPGA units are gonna pan out, especially sine they went radio silent on OCT.8 and nothing else since. We don't have to...

World's Most Elaborate Bitcoin Mining Operation?

http://www.coindesk.com/asic-miners-litecoin-soon/ Just an FYI, FPGA are about 3 months out, and ASIC is about 6.

Any LTC miners out there willing to answer some questions?

To be honest, I don't think it's too late. With ASIC and FPGA still a few months off (ASIC at least 6 while FPGA 3) and the fact that FPGA isn't really that much of increase over current GPU rates unless they sell it at a drastically reduced capital cost, Its still open. I just bought 3x...
