    Only since they announced Win8 and the SCo-Linux debacles, have I predicted that 1) Windows would go pay-per-view Windows-as-a-service, and 2) they would roll Linux into the OS, possibly turning the OS into a version of Linux. Seems like it's gonna come true. Imagine that.

    And there's the rub: I spend alot of time on highways in rural areas with an absolute need for phone & data connectivity. AT&T/Verizon may be a bunch of shitbags to deal with, but they're the only games with significant coverage across the US.
