This the problem I'm having with my 2407, before I was able to get a signal from the PS3 over DVI but now I can't. I can get the PC over DVI fine but not the PS3. I tried the PS3 on a Viewsonic VA1912w display and it didn't work but then I couldn't get the PC to work on it via DVI. The PS3 can...
For a few months now my Dell 2407 is unable to receive a signal from my PS3 through HDMI with the help of an HDMI-to-DVI cable. I was able to receive a signal before but now all I get is either a blank screen that gives the "entering power save" message or flickering white noise. I'm still able...
Not to get confused, Nvidia video cards won't scale 1920x1080 over DVI on the 2407 because what it does is that the card scales 1920x1080 to 1920x1200 by vertically stretching it and therefore the monitor still thinks its 1920x1200 and hence cannot scale using the monitor scaling hardware but...
That's just great, I called dell again to receive my second replacement so it's gonna be a pain as I have assignments to deal with for uni....even though it works (partially) it's annoying to have it replaced again.
this is just great my monitor somehow "lost" it's ability to scale 1920x1080 over VGA and DVI and I can't get it back. I don't know how it happened and I'm so annoyed now.....it's an A04 as it says V1B29 in the factory menu so I don't know why it can't do it anymore. Like I select through the...
Well, don't call it an exchange call it a replacement. Say have banding problems with the monitor as that does occur with that revision. If they had fixed it in the A02 then I won't ask for a replacement.
Yeah it's bright alright. I had to set the monitor to game mode and lower the brightness to 20 and bump contrast to 60 in order to compensate. PC looks fine and playing games or HD movies PS3 or 360 looks great over DVI and VGA respectively.
I have the 2407 also and I hot swap the PC and PS3 on DVI, the 360 on VGA. I need to get component cables for the Wii now that the slot is free. I may look into getting the 360 elite to make use of HDMI and reshift everything to DVI or just buy a VGA KVM and hook up the 360 and PC via VGA...
