Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'll agree driver support sucked, but at that time, 64 bit drivers weren't generally being produced so you can't really blame the OS for lack of drivers. as for stability, I've found it as solid as a rock, it's based on a server OS for crying out loud...
Vista was terrible, I had a awesome...
did you honestly say Vista was better than XP? MS messed with the UI, make the OS less intuitive and set up by default where is annoys teh hell out of you when ever you click something asking if you really wanted to do that... seriously XP was a god compared to vista, and 7 was Vista done...
first the Touchpad wasn't really given a chance, and they were talking about leaving the PC market, now they lose 27k jobs... they must really know how to make investors feel confident putting money into HP...
let see, remove OtherOS, and piss off their customers, change the PSN TOS to prevent class action lawsuits (unless they mail in a letter to them...) Sony in my opinion has been waging war against thier customers for the past few years, every time I read about Sony's failures I smile.
before...
they should go back to the Windows 3.1 logo, it looked far more like actual windows (it had frames unlike Windows XP and higher) and it has variety in color (unlike Vista and higher) it seems to me the logo looks more and more dead, and maybe it's Microsoft way of saying Windows won't be around...
I understand your view and agree to an extent, but countries that would censor the internet also get an advantage from having access to it's resources, and all the while preventing their people from having the full benefit of the internet... I believe if the internet had a policy of 'all or...
I personally hold to the view that the internet should be considered it's own country, to many times I hear crap like some guy sitting in his house is being extradited because he broke the law of some other country... internet should either be it's own country (our ISP bill is the taxes) or it's...
Sony: Removed OtherOS, updated PSN TOS to try to get users to agree to "individual binding arbitration" rather than let then do class action suit against Sony if/when they have a massive security breach or remove feature from the PS3 console people cared about, and now losing PC in repair... Why...
explain to me why Sony removed OtherOS from the Slims b4 geohot hacked the PS3 (then they removed it from all PS3's), then we might understand why Sony removed OtherOS... until then I don't buy thier 'security update' explanation, it just pissed me off and made me choose OtherOS or PSN, I kept...
Are you suggesting Sony was helping piracy by releasing OtherOS? of course not, and that's why your argument doesn't hold water, Sony limited what OtherOS could do including interaction with the actual GameOS, so piracy wasn't possible with OtherOS.
