My previous card - gigabyte gtx 980ti g1. Had been using it for almost 4 years(the longest period for me). Have never had any issues, it was awsome clocker (on stock it boosted to 1450MHz and it could use it for playing at 1600 for the core). Only its age and a good bargain pushed me to sell and...
Since my son was born, i don't have enough time to play as before. I bought a gigabyte 980ti g1 back in the middle of 2016 and this big metal chunk was enough to play all i want on 1080p. There are only few demanding games which lower my fps below 60 border.
Always felt there is no point for me...
A friend of mine sold to me his 1 year MSI gtx 1080 ti gaming x for 415$. The card still has almost 2 years warranty and it wasn't abused at all. Very pleased. The card runs at almost 2000Mhz for the core on stock and with manual temp line never goes beyond 67 degrees C.
Thought to replace my...
Pcs+ is the best cooling solution, but it is too expensive.
I have a Gb r9 290oc and i had a tri-x. The temps are identical, may be gb is a little bit hotter, but this is because its stock voltage is higher. When i run them on equal voltages, the temps are almost equal in every situation. So...
Not really. I had a 7950 with 58.4% and 7950 with 78.6%.
The one with higher score could be clocked way better but ran hotter. In my opinion the middle is the best.
I sold the one with higher asics, because i needed cooler card - i need to clock a vga very rare...
So the higher is the asics...
O, no, you misunderstood me. The clocks are not so relevant. In both cases the voltages are equal. I just tested for temps. Even the higher clock speed was set by mistake... :) I wanted in both case to set 1100MHz for the core. :)
And for now i don't need to clock the card because i'm using...
I bought a gb r9 290 oc yesterday. For now it is flawless. Hynix memmory, 82.7% asics quality, perfectly silent and very cool for a 290 card, though it seems tri - x is a little bit cooler.
Some experiments with valley and heaven - 15 to 30 minutes loops:
Auto fan profile and stock clocks...
Well, i noticed that usualy low asics cards deals better with high voltage and this reduces the temps. For example i had a GB 7950 WF3 with asics quality above 75%(i really can't remember exactly how much) and i hit 1200MHz on core with little more than 1.2V, but on 50-60% fan the core temp was...
I can get 1150MHz with 1.256V. and almost 1200MHz with 1.3V. but i prefer not to pass 1.2V. because i don't feel very comfortable. However my temps on auto fan profile are very low - max core temp on 1.2V. is 65 degrees and VRM - around 66 degrees.
Hello.
I own a GB 7950 WF3. I can achieve 1100MHz core clock but with а lot of power - around 1.194V. Do you think it is normal? Personaly i think it's not very good score.
