Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Microstuttering is most definitely real. I have witnessed it first-hand on my friend's PC with CF 6870s. I wouldn't bother with crossfire/sli at your resolution anyways; something like a single 6870 or 6950 would probably be more than enough to handle your monitor. This is definitely a good time...
If I were you, I would definitely reconsider your choice of processor. Microcenter has been having some pretty good sandy bridge deals lately. I picked up my i5 2400 and H61 board for $150 during the 'make your own bundle' deal this past week.
Problem hasn't been solved. I ran memtest with both sticks in for approximately 12 hours last night and it returned no errors. This morning, I experimented with different configurations of ram placement. Ill label the sticks and slots to make things easier, stick A is the 'good' stick, slot A is...
I took one of my sticks of ram out and I've yet to experience a crash. I played bioshock for nearly an hour before switching over to crysis warhead which has been going strong for probably 30 minutes now. Games seem to be running pretty damn slow, warhead hovers between 20 and 25 fps most of the...
Well furmark and prime95 have been running for about 45 minutes now without a problem. I don't know why games crash constantly while I have no problems with all these stability tests.
No dice on the power supply, same exact problem without any improvement at all. I'm going to try installing Windows 7 32 bit now in the off chance that it will help.
