Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Saw this comment in the Hot Deals post about it. I WOULD have posted that this problem is becase the card also needs sound drivers as well as video for it's HDMI functions. That misunderstanding is what has caused many people driver install problems. BUT... I am not allowed to post there with...
On a related subject, best under $400? My Altec Lansing 641 died a few years ago and I've never found anything worth replacing them with. Everything now seems to be all about loud and boomy, not quality.
I had posted once before in the hot deals section, but when I tried to just now it tells me I can't until I have 50 post? No harm to me I guess, I just wanted to post an update to one of the threads there. let me know, thanks
I've seen these commented on as quiet and loud. The one I had was LOUD. I can only guess they must manufature them in more than one place and it's random which you will get. I know a HD out there once had the same thing going on, it turned out if you got one from China it was quiet, Korea...
Forget to mention, I'm using an MSI 965 platinum motherboard, the only cards in it atm are the video card and a pci-e wireless network card, the pci-e card can be removed if needed.
I want to record hi-def TV shows to watch later. I'm hoping for something that does not put a lot of load on the system as I will be doing many other things at the same time. It doesn't matter to me if it's pci, mini-pci (pci-e?), or usb. My system has a 2.4g core2duo CPU, 2gb ram, 400gb HD...
The system is currently down as I am RMAing the video card. I saw them in a utility Gigabyte included on the disk with the MB. It shows pentium III etc at the top and E8400 a few lines lower.
I just got an ECS N8800GT-512MX+, as soon as it hits about 50C it starts making a whine, by 65C it's clanking. Do they just do that or do I need to RMA it? I am not overclocking anything. I tried it with and without the fans they sent with it, it happens both ways. thanks
Just finished putting my new system together and am a bit puzzled at a couple of things. Used a Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4 MB. I flashed it to the F2 bios. The E8400 CPU seems to be running just fine, but it shows up as a Pentium III in one read out, but right below that it shows as an E8400 at 3.0G...
