    P8P67 Deluxe freezes

Thank you big time for this! I kept getting BSODs - and now with this XMP change in BIOS due to my Corsair 1600 memory, OCCT has run for almost 4 hours now without crashing (the first time for this). I was getting through Prime95 okay and memtest86+ too - but not OCCT nor playing Skyrim. So...

Skyrim AMD CrossFireX Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

I am running 3 27" monitors in Portrait mode, and put in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file the resolution via: iSize W=3240 iSize H=1920 and also have: bEnableEyefinity=1 I am mainly using Skyrim as a big sandbox game for screenshooting fun, so I am not sure whether this is a complete fix and whether...

Skyrim AMD CrossFireX Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

Glad this was helpful - and especially since several people really stuck with me on all sorts of issues I had getting this working right. When playing Skyrim in an outside environment, with everything maxed in the CCC, I am getting about 75+ FPS; and am still getting 50+ fps even when adding...

Skyrim AMD CrossFireX Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

Since I got so much help with this issue, I will post in more detail than probably necessary here - just in case another noob like myself comes along... In the Radeon Pro solution re: AFR that you mention above, I tried this with Skryim4GB - when I removed the atiumdag.dll all the flickering...

    Post your workstations 2011

Some very impressive setups in this thread! Here is my Corsair build (see sig) with a 700D box but 800D see-through window with only one HD 5870 card installed at the time: With Blu-ray RW drive and a KazeMaster fan controller with temp readouts: At this point, with two HD 5870s - though I...

Brand new EYEFINITy triple 27" monitor arm

I tried running Eyefinity on 6 monitors using a 6 DP HD5870 2GB X-fired with a second exact matched one, and it was still slow. Plus 2 rows of three monitors left the center of the game getting split in half. It made more sense to create two separate areas given I have two workstations. I got...

Next gen cards delayed until Q1 2012

Interesting. Your upgrade must have improved things significantly. So the 6970 also has 2GB of ram? My 5870s each have 2GB and my understanding is that all cards involved in XFire default to the lowest amount on any give card.

    Asus Maximus Extreme or wait?

Thank you for this thread. I am in a similar situation with an Asus P67 Pro and 2 HD 5870s 2GB in XFire. It is real slow running DirectX 11 games on 3 monitors with everything maxed (and really hit it much harder with 6 monitors). So I got a 6990 and hope to have time to install that real soon...

Next gen cards delayed until Q1 2012

thanks for this thread. I just bought a 6990 and have waited to open it because if something new was right around the corner, I would return the 6990 and get the 7000s unit. I currently have two 5870s (2GB each) installed in XFire and was trying to drive 6 monitors with that (on a 2600K Asus...

    ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3.0 (B3)

Right, but that must be the M version. I and a few others got side-tracked into talking about the P8P67 PRO. My mistake because I hadn't read about the M version yet and that is what this thread is about. The P8P67 Pro retails for about $190, the P8P67-M PRO for about $150. MC was overcharging...

    ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3.0 (B3)

Anyone else pay more than $189.99 for the PRO from MC like I did ($229.99) - they refunded my $40 the other day based on price-matching within 30 days.

Anything wrong with this planned build?

I just built a system using the same CPU and the Corsair Vengeance memory but on a P8P67 Pro mobo. What Danny told me about that memory is this: I got 2x4GB (2 sets) locally at Microcenter for $104/set, and I like the way it looks, so I decided to keep it anyway. Danny was helpful to me, and I...

    ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3.0 (B3)

Heheh, sorry about that. I guess I just saw the word PRO and others talking about it too, so I figured it was the P8P67 PRO, not the "M" version. No wonder people thought some of us really overpaid. From this thread though, it sounds like the people that got hold of the mobo from the various...

    ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3.0 (B3)

According to ASUS the P8P67 Pro version and the P8P67-M Pro have several differences. The one you are quoting is the M version. You can see the differences by filling this compare out here: http://www.asus.com/compare.aspx Also, time is money too. The delivery date has been iffy on this board...

    Need help with work/gaming build

After reading a bunch about X-Fire between "heterogenous" 58xx cards, it sounds like if I mate the 5870 2GB with a 5850 1GB card, the system only uses 1GB. So now I am looking to buy another HD 5870 2GB and leave the 5850 in the older machine. This combination of two 5870 2GB cards runs much...
