Amazing monitor. No dead/stuck pixels. No clouding. This thing is huge. Much bigger in person and heavy! Like most VA panels, there is some slight vignette in the corners, for those sensitive to that. Mine has a build month of February 2018.
Doesn't beat my FORIS FG2421 in contrast, but still...
I also have one coming from Newegg. Should be here Monday. I have a lot of experience with TN, VA, IPS monitors. It will be interesting to compare this to my eizo foris fg2421 and acer predator xb271hu
He said nearly a year, so he is accurate enough.
780GTX didn't exist when the Titan came out.
Lets be more clear. Specifically, the Titan was regarded as having awesome performance in the single GPU ring that rivaled dual-GPU cards. But for slightly cheaper and no compatibility issues that...
But there is a big "but" there. PCPER found and mentioned in their video about the 290X that it would reach 1Ghz, but the caveat was that it would rarely hold its frequency for a long time in the boost clock. This is different to how the 700 Series/Titan work. With those cards you often boost...
Timing does mean something. People who bought a Titan 10 months ago got their money's worth, IMHO. Sure, it is a lot of money, but that is the price you pay when there is no competition and you want the best product at the time.
You will most likely see nVidia respond with more price drops...
Look, I was one who wasn't expecting much from AMD. And I was wrong, especially about the price. Kudos for them keeping the price so low, but being 10 months late no doubt hurt them as many people already upgraded. The 780/Titan still does beat the 290X sometimes however as many reviews have...
Well, I was wrong about the price. Impressive. Its a shame that it took AMD 9-10 months to respond and hopefully it will now bring prices down.
The Titan still beat out the 290X in tests, but the heat and noise of the 290X is pretty concerning.
PCPER's review...
Ideally I would like to see the tech used broadly, but I can understand where NVidia is coming from. They put the R&D into this so they want to capitalize on it. I can understand that in the beginning, but hopefully down the road it opens up.
