I have an EVGA 780 SLI and love it. My first mobo had a defective BIOS but their support was fantastic. I got a replacement cross shipped and now everything is running great. I love the lifetime warranty.
N00b question here. I have this board with a Q6600 8800GTS 512 and 2gb Corsair 1066 SLI memory. So far everything is running great. I can't figure out the headers though. I am trying to connect the front panel audio and firewire and USB headers to my case (Thermaltake Tsunami Dream). The case...
This thread is funny. Digital downloads will be the future, but not for a long time. In addition to the obvious bandwith problems mentioned here, I don't want to deal with the horrible DRM that is going to be part of downloads or streaming media. If you think the MPAA won't fuck this up good...
I wish they would give more info about the G90 or 92 or whatever the next high end card is. I want to know if it's worth waiting for. I also want to know about Nvidia's new mobo's coming out with PCIE 2.0.
" Product cycle and manufacturing process: next-gen GPUs on track for this fall
Hara began his talk at the recent JP Morgan analyst session by reiterating NVIDIA's commitment to a product cycle in which the high-end products come out each fall, and at the start of the next year, the midrange...
I'm curious with AMD's new RD780 and Intel's new X38 if Nvidia will have anything new this fall to coincide with the release of the G92. I'm hoping they have something better then then the 680sli for either a Kentsfield or Penryn processor.
Just an update. I think I'm going to go for this EVGA 7800GS for $99 after a $50 MIR.

Unless anyone else thinks there is a better deal for $100 I will probably get this at the end of today.
Thanks for all the advice so far.
I have been going through my old library of PC games to beat and have played just about everything I can on my current hardware. I have no more games I can play at acceptable framerates and don't want to have to wait 6 months to play any more games. I have some older games I could play with a...
I'm looking for the best bang for the buck AGP video card for around $100. I need something to hold me over until Nvidia releases their new G93 this November when I will do a total system upgrade.
Right now I have a Geforce 4 Ti 4400 128mb.
I see the 7600gs AGP are around $100. Is that the...
So now that there are rumors of a G92 or whatever this X-mas with a teraflop of power, are there any rumors of any new Nvidia chipsets that will be competitive with Intel's new ones? I'm wondering if a 680 SLI will still be best for Nvidia dual graphics around the end of the year.
Given that the 8800 came out last November, when did Nvidia start announcing those cards publicly? I'm not talking Inquirer BS but publicly announce a new generation of graphics cards. I'm wondering when we will know officially what they have planned next.
This system will be for the best gaming possible at 1920x1200 on my 24"CRT. I have an OCZ 850w power supply and Thermaltake Tsunami case already. I hope to overclock the Q6600 to at least 3ghz.
Right now I'm looking at
BFG 8800GTX =$600...
I agree. Nvidia has no reason to rush out with new cards. I bet they will wait until next spring for the refresh. I guess I was just hoping for another big increase in performance beyond the 8800GTX this year. Since there is nothing new in the immediate future I'll just get an 8800. Anyone know...
