DMC5 doesnt look very difficult to render. Its a really bad idea to use an unreleased game to represent the performance capabilities. That is kind of like singing your own song on Americas Got Talent.
This is the issue with including the public in the development process, people just don't get it. Would you say the same for CD Projekt and Cyberpunk 2077, which has been in development for a little longer?

They are achieving this by using multiple servers per "lobby," similar to how SpatialOS works. Which in their closed testing works well obviously, but scaling will be the bigger issue.
Additionally, the book emphasized on the design of OASIS a bit more. What I am failing to see get mentioned is the fact that OASIS was not just a game, but it was an operating system with hardware designed around it.
