    I just wanted to follow up that I sent this monitor back for replacement to Amazon and they shipped out a new one to me within a few days! The new monitor has none of the issues the old one had with the black discolorations or waves. :)

    GTX 980 stuck in PCI-E x16 2.0

    I have an AMD 290 with Asus X99-Pro and it was stuck at 2.0 as well according to GPU-z (1.1 idle). I had to go into the bios and set the PCIE to GEN3 from Auto and it resolved the issue for me. I can't say it changed performance much if any after testing.

    TV suitable for use as a monitor

    I bought the 32LN5300 the other day to use primarily as a PC monitor. It has been a awesome experience thus far and have no regrets. Looks great!
