Thanks for your help guys. With the 670 plugged in everything works normally, although for some strange reason i had to plug it in vga to the monitor first to get a signal, then switch back to hdmi. Windows installs correctly, can run games, Prime, 3dmark etc. all fine. I've had a look through...

Update: I can now get into the BIOS when I have my GTX670 plugged in but not my 970.... 970 shows display for 1sec then nothing. Very strange
