They do work but they have $0 melt value, so the ship you upgrade will be worth that much less and you will lose the bonus if you ever melt it.

Cross chassis upgrades only change the ship, not the insurance, hangar, or extras. If you have the Revel & York on another ship, you also get the lower ones including the Aeroview.
