I'm kinda thinking it will be also, just don't want to burn the fan out.
And also, for the record the DuoOrb GPU cooler will NOT fit the XFX 1G 4850 vidcard.
There's a couple of caps that interfere with the proper seating of the unit.
I installed a Zalman VF900 on my XFX 4850. The Zalman VF900 has an included "Fanmate" controller whereby you can control the speed of the fan to suit your needs.
I didn't want to use it and instead opted to just plug the VF900 fan into a fan header on the mobo and have it run at full speed...
EngineChauffer nailed it.
The vol. to the ram was defaulted to 1.8V.
My RAM (2x2G OCZ Platinum 1066 DDR2) was set to 1.8V.
The specs are 2.1 to 2.2.
I set it to 2.0 at first to be on the safe low side and tried resetting my system a few times.
Sucess! My system resets normally...
I've heard RAM vol. and also MCH vol. as being potential culprits.
Do I need to increase the mem. vol.? Is that the +3.3?
Also I've heard to increase the MCH vol by 0.1V. Is that in the BIOS I'm assuming?
Can someone detail this out?
New mobo install. Gigabyte UD3P P45 with an E8500 cpu.
Only when I press the reset button does the system get caught up in a boot loop cycle every 2 seconds or so untill I power down and the power back up.
In the boot loop the system will shut down and then restart every 2 seconds or so...
I've got an XFX 1G 4850 on the way and I was wondering if the XFX cooling is better then some other manufacturers.
I've heard quite a few people complain about how hot the 4850's run and I was wondering if I was going to need an aftermarket cooler.
