I remember getting a phone call from BoA when this new law was set. Their whole "reasoning" to why should I allow overdrafts was because it would be "embarrassing" if it happened when I was shopping.. LoL.
Why wouldnt it apply to the product? Driver support definitely belongs with the discussion about the card. Given Creative's long track record of horrible driver support, its enough for me to deter buying another one of their products.
I love my Asus Xonar Essence STX. I regularly switch between speakers and headphones and it is awesome that I can do it through the software. Drivers are small as well compared to the 100+ mb bloated creative ones that they never update.
Desktops won't die in the professional market IMO but yea its dying and dying fast in the consumer market (with the exception of techies like us).
If the article counts laptops too, yea thats not going to happen. When I see people with tablets in class trying to type its just retarded...
This is a tech forum, of course all of us are going to be defending desktops, but tbh the article has a major point. Go to any retail store nowadays and look at the desktop section, its about half the size of the laptop sections or non existent at all. The typical person isnt going to be buying...
