    Help me build a New Audio Workstation {$1700~$2000}

    Oh, I see what you mean. The numbers behind an item just the price I have allotted to that particular item. I edited them out. I added the Intel 320 80GB SSD. Are the Spinpoint F3's dependable in RAID? The WD RE3 are designed for RAID. That RAM is an awesome find, thanks! Plus how about this...

    Help me build a New Audio Workstation {$1700~$2000}

    Thanks for the reply. Edited to add the questions. RAM 1333 would be OK, i believe the quantity is much more important than the speed. 120GB SSD or smaller as a boot/app drive is OK, I simply move the users folder to big a HDD.

    Help me build a New Audio Workstation {$1700~$2000}

    Hi guys, a friend has asked me to help him build an audio workstation. I have good experience assembling gaming pcs, but not dedicated audio stuff. The budget is betwwn $1700 and $2000, and I prefer to shop at Amazon or wherever else they accept Amazonpayments. Currently, I have assembled the...

    Next-Gen Windows Systems Due in 2012

    #5 you are saying that it's not the OS's fault to keep everything a program needs right within its own folder? How do you explain the presence of the registry then? How about each installed app having its own registry that "tells" the app all it needs to function, and this particular registry...

    Next-Gen Windows Systems Due in 2012

    What I want in Windows 8 is: 1) Native Multiple Desktops like Mac OS and Gnome/KDE/LXFE etc have had for years. 2) A better user account management system, meanining that the administrator can totally control who sees what and when. It should be easy to determine what goes into the...

    Feds Plan to Temporarily Turn Poker Sites Back On

    The checks would never have been *legal* if they stated they were proceeding from an online poker site , goddamn no editing function. I say he who wants, should do sportsbetting, play poker, smoke pot, play video games, go out dancing, drink your ass off, buy pointless knives you saw on TV...

    Feds Plan to Temporarily Turn Poker Sites Back On

    Here's what happened: On April 15th, either close or on tax day for the US ( I don't know) plus days after commiting to serve legalized online poker to washington, the Feds chowned the PkerStars.com/FullTiltPoker.com/Ub.com/AP.com domains, which happened to be of the biggest poker sites that...

    Feds Plan to Temporarily Turn Poker Sites Back On

    The sites aren't shut down. All the feds did was change the DNS servers to redirect to some shitty jpeg graphic. The sites continue operation to cater people outside the states just as they always did. It is annoying though that the US has control of the internet (ICANN) in the way the do.

    Is France Plotting to Kill the Free Internet?

    I'm just saddened that the world will have to deal with this asshole until 2014. He has only pulled off shitty moves since in power. Why oust relatively quiet Ghadaffi when they should be out to get this french fry asshole? All he did was be the mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine, one of the fucking...

    What are some beautifully designed WINDOWS applications?

    I'd take utilitarian over eye candy anyday. Its a computer I use to get things done, not to look at pretty things. For that I can hit TGP websites.

    What you do with 12GB+ desktop?

    Playing Sims 3? I kid, I kid, but since RAM is so cheap nowadays, I enjoy populating my slots with as much RAM as I can get, and never ever use virtual memory again! Keeps my system blisteringly fast. I don't need to quote Bill Gates for the umpteenth time, right>

    Windows 8 May Combine Features

    Exactly what I mean. Now, imagine *Calibre 0.7.5.4 available* or *Photoshop 13.0.3 available* and you got my drift.

    Windows 8 May Combine Features

    Thanks for the defense Ashbringer, I couldn't belive I'm the only one. I sure as hell would use only Linux if a) Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and bigger games like Sim City 4 and Sims 3 would run natively b) The fucking gnome desktop would accept which monitor I want as primary, and...
