Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Wow, you have taken the 920 to 4Ghz?
Man, that's pretty impressive, but can you run it with Prime 95 for two days and post some results? I'm interested to see some performance specs..
Yes, you are correct. We do not do super-high overclocks because of the stability issues. I also never stated that 3.8 Ghz was "minor", as you can see:
"For our extreme overclock, there is one particular combination of hardware that I can guarantee at least a full 1GHZ overclock:"
I was...
That's correct, the Coolit Domino was used in our review for CNET. The Thermalright Ultra 120 is what I suggest to those who would rather stick to air cooling , as opposed to liquid.
Yes, a DAW is indeed a Digital Audio Workstation.
I do agree that my forum statement can be taken the wrong way. Thats why I dropped a post to explain. :-)
For our extreme overclock, there is one particular combination of hardware that I can guarantee at least a full 1GHZ overclock...
I, or AVADirect, have never stated that Core i7 processors are "poor overclockers".
I believe this is the thread pa2 is refering to:
"Hello Thorndike,
1. The CPU overclock promotion is still available, though we do not suggest overclocking the 920, as it is meant to...
Mark,
You will want to make sure that you can get the best bang for your buck, obviously. Make sure that you do not purchase any PC's that have third party graphics cards. Since the computers you need will only be used for standard stuff, you can easily get away with on-board sound...
Hello Everyone,
I just want shed some light on this situation.
First off the customers computer was shipped on 8/15/2008 and received shortly after. It was not until 12/12 that he contact support about a defective hard drive.
On January 28th of this year he contacted us with blue...
Three beeps, that is defintely your RAM. Try what MightyDiomed suggested, one stick at a time, and if you still get that beep you may be looking at having to purchase a whole new RAM kit. One beep is your video, FYI...
Anything with atleast a 2.0 MP rating will do just fine. It will also capture images at a pretty decent scale, so you will have room to crop what you need. :-)
The P5Q can be used to overclock fairly easy, just so long as you don't stick OCZ in ANY ASUS board. (I was told by an OCZ rep. directly to NEVER put their RAM into an ASUS board)
G.Skill will do, just so long as you don't lack the case fans for proper cooling. I see that you are interested...
I bought a Logitech MX518 gaming mouse about three years ago, and I still use it till this day. I think the comfort curves and rubber (for grip) have a lot to do with it. I highly suggest any mouse that has either of those two features.

Dear Hard Forum Users,
We are now thinking we did something wrong by blaming Metalicat about the memory choices. From now on, we will not blame any customer for any future problems. We can only learn from our mistakes that we have made and not make them in future.
We created a video and...
In light of Kodans post, I just wanted to explain some things .
Kodans reaction on these forums is understandable and almost expected, but I do feel like our presence here is deserved, at least for future customers. We have had customers shout our praise from the mountain-tops and weve...
