Ya I wish I could of kept the oppo. I had to sell it to raise money for a video card (7950). I'm thinking of going 3d with something like the Panasonic bdt-220 blueray disc player. It only cost 114 plus tax on amazon. That would remedy all my 3d problems I have on the htpc. But I'm a hardcore...
The CPU is using about 48-68 percent. I think the Panasonic demo disc is the only one that doesn't play smooth. Because I tried the lorax Blu-ray Disc and its smooth.
Okay so let me clarify something, I currently have a Athlon X2 2.8ghz 939 socket, am plus Asus motherboard 2gb of ram. I also have a AMD hd6450 for video card and most of you who read my post know that 3D blu-rays run fine.... BUT! when the first time I try to play the Panasonic 3d demo disc...
Just received the hd 6450 and tested it. I can confirm that it play 3d perfectly. No studder no hiccups, just smooth 3d with excellent depth. I also tried Nvidia GTX 460 for 3d and the depth was terrible, amd much much better at 3D. HD 6450 35 dollar card that does 3d! :D
So I guess what you mean by 7750 can do everything isI it can play games too right? I'm trying to narrow down which card... so far the 6450 wins the deal. :)
Can I ask any body witness it working with the 6450? I'm thinking of getting it now.
nevermind that this is what I found out on tom's hardware: "We were surprised when we found out that the Radeon HD 5000-series cards can, in fact, handle Blu-ray 3D playback over HDMI 1.4a. Unfortunately...
Because, the 6450 sounds so similar to my 5450 which doesn't work for me. It scares me, because it might not work. So by going with the GT 430, I can't lose right? Unless someone can confirm that 6450 is the right choice for me. ;)
Okay so it turn out that my HTPC specs are:
AMD athlon x2 240 2.8 ghz
Some Asus am plus motherboard
4 gb of ddr8 memory
Radeon 5450 video card
2 tb harddrive
bluray drive.
So I can run all my blu ray 2d disc but I can't play 3D blu-ray disc, seems that the video is too slow for it...
