Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That's a really old bios version, not that it explains the problem but it sounds like you may have a bad board and need to RMA. Have you tried updating the bios though? Maybe it had a bad flash.
That's where this article gets interesting. Good FPS does not mean smooth.
Comparing sli'd 480's to a single 660ti though very well could be a different experience if there's microstutter on the sli rig.
It's all beside the point, TT screwed the distribution process with their early review. Nvidia didn't loose out, the review was good except for the childish rants about being ignored. NDA's give suppliers, vendors and "legit" reviewers a target date for being ready. Not everyone involved gets...
My Z68PRO3-M is chugging along trouble free for about a year now as an htpc in the living room and Z77 Extreme4-M rock solid no problem as my gaming pc. Besides the stability I was impressed with the uefi makeover when they added IB support to my Z68 board and they've added a couple other small...
I just bought my 670 ftw last weekend and looks like they're shipping with this version. Nvidia sysinf says I have v80.04.31.00.70.
The only strange thing I've seen is playing facebook games, big white blocks appear and disappear randomly in different parts of the game screen. I never had...
I used virtu on a z77 build with a gtx460 and the monitor was plugged into the onboard dvi port the whole time. It definitely works as you are needing here, when starting anything you need your discrete card for it kicks in. When I got my gtx 670 I just plugged the monitor into that and...
Wake on LAN is good for servers so they don't have to stay on 24/7, you can wake them remotely when needed. There should also be a setting for Magic Packets so only "real" WOL requests are acknowledged, but still only really useful if your using it as a server.
Awesome, glad it worked out. With all these little problems, it's no wonder some people just pay for a pre-built computer so they don't have to deal with this stuff.
Speaking of thumb drive problems, I bought a cheap usb3 4GB stick to make a dedicated win7 x64 install disk and the Windows USB...
Try going to a command prompt and type these things to research:
powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
This will tell you what is capable of waking your pc, not necessarily what is doing it though.
powercfg lastwake
This will tell you what woke it up last time, maybe a wireless mouse or...
Just to cover all bases, you should have it plugged into SATA3_0 as in this image.
You should have AHCI enabled under Advanced/Storage - Sata Mode Selection
And the sata port configured as Solid State Drive
If that doesn't do it, then try this suggestion from a support forum...
It couldnt have been a wiring failure, there were 4 barges spread all over the bay and they all failed the same way. All I can say is the barges must all be tied together with a wireless lan of some sort, I hope that shit was secure, and not by abc123 or something stupid.
You might check out this review, it compares performance / efficiency of the 2700k, 3770k, 3570k. There's almost a $100 difference between 3570k and 2700k. Either way you'll love it, my angle is to get the best bang without spending the most money.
z77 with a i5 3570k all the way for what you plan to do with it. This is the hot setup right now for the price/performance/satisfaction. It would be much better if you search for reviews based on z77 and 3570k to get a feel for what they are capable of compared to everything else available...
