    SSD IOPS recently plunged

It may be coming form the fact the drive is full. SSDs slow down as they fill. You could try cloning the drive to another spare HDD and secure erasing and cloning your OS back and see if it speeds back up, but im not sure its worth it.

Console owners what TVs do you own?

Im still rocking my five year old Sony Bravia KDL 52V4100, it definitely doesn't have the brightness of modern screens but it does have a decent amount of clarity for what little gaming I do.

    Looking for some thoughts

I purchased the Late 2013 rMBP in January with 4GB of ram and the i5 Haswell CPU. Honestly, for what I do which is similar to what you are describing i havent noticed any lagg or odd behavior. Running OS X 10.9.2 the memory is always 85% in use but the raw speed of the PCIe SSD really keeps...

    EVGA E758 Westmere Mod

i talked to a few guys that worked at evguh back in the day when these boards were fresh. Id have to double check my solder point but it did work for me and the L5639 i put in the board. No issues. Be aware those solder points are very tiny so youll need a good fine point iron. i used a 25w...

    EVGA E758 Westmere Mod

Does anyone here remember what pads needed to be soldered together on the E758 for Westmere Dual QPI procs to work? I found a lot of information on google for the E757,760 and 762 but no one outright says what pads should be used for the E758. Thanks for any help you can offer.

How do I know if I need a better PSU?

Looking around for information about powercool, I ran into several threads at toms, OCN and johnnyguru basically saying to stay away from powercool. The power supply is the most important part of your rig, if your having second thoughts about its quality you may want to purchase something...

Any real differences between eSATA and USB 3.0?

eSATA has the potential to be faster, but most manufacturers use eSATA 3Gb/s while USB 3.0 has 5Gb/s capability, though if your not using solid state drives you most likely wont notice a difference. If your looking for external enclosure I would recommend you take a look at some of the...
