    indeed it would be useful for some people like a guy work/use his computer from 8am to 10pm, the program wake up the HDD at 7:55 and make them sleep at 10:05pm

    6TB 1080p Movie 4TB 720p TV Series 4TB Anime 4TB personal docs 4TB work (adobe etc) and lot of parity/mirror/raid (4 to 8TB) and I need access to them any time I want.

    I agree, by the way, it's kinda hard to see where the sata-power cable are going and what it look like when it's closed I also recommand SnapRaid over Disparity, http://snapraid.sourceforge.net/compare.html but if disparity suit you...i've nothing to say :)

    what it should like : I'm not quite sure if I'm gonna use RAID1 or a backup software neither the ZFS... since i'm running windows server 2008 R2 for the time being it's in software RAID5 here my result for the Software RAID5 (5x1To) : I won't have to use it for small files
