Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Interesting test. I see something really weird going on with the 270 results. When both the 270X and the 270 are overclocked, the difference should be no more than 6-7% - instead, it's 15-20%. Temperature throttling isn't very probable - is it possible that the 270 runs up against its power...
Great review, and interesting card. The 3 8-pin connectors do look menacing, though
One comment:
"On some motherboards that gamers may have, using two PCI-Express slots for CrossFireX sometimes mean splitting up the lanes from x16 to x8/x8, but with a single video card like the...
Great and thorough article as usual. Special thanks to [H] for demystifying all the rumors around the game's playability - it's obviously not as VGA-hungry as it was widely accused, at least if you switch MSAA off.
I'm personally very curious what tradeoffs are needed on a 1GB card - are there...
Brent, are you sure you're not VRAM limited on BOTH 5760x1200 and 5040x1050? in Battlefield 3, you surely are on 5760x1200, but from the data it's hard to estimate if it isn't the case on the lower resolution (both in BF3 and the other games). This is why I miss the 7970 (or even a 6970) from...
Great review, I was curious how these two setups would do against each other. Would have been interesting to see a power consumption comparison, but I suppose they're similar, both idle and load.
One comment: if the biggest bottleneck for GTX460SLI is the framebuffer, then why not buy 2GB...
There's a third problem. If you were taking a walk on the streets of Unigine Heaven, then you wouldn't be seeing your feet half the time, as tesselation changes surface heights, and that isn't fed back to the original object mesh that is used to calculate collisions. Actually, this is a problem...
Hi, I've been reading [H] for quite a while, just haven't posted yet. I thought I'd throw in my experience regarding Arma II, as I used to benchmark with that game.
First, the built in benchmark is extremely CPU-bound - especially at higher viewing distances. At 1920x1200 and 4xAA, anything...
