    Even if your not going to overclock, It's nice to know that you have about an 800 MHZ buffer between what you are running at and it's max speed. Summers get hot, heat sinks collect dust and power isn't cheap which I would definitely give the edge to Intel right now with the new 45nm chips.

    You will still want the drivers if you plan on using ahci (NCQ). Also once you install without the drivers you won't be able to use ahci or raid later down the road if you change your mind unless you reinstall windows, I don't know if thats the case with XP but it is with Vista.

    Lower the CPU Multiplier?

    I think 8 is the best, i'm running 8 @ 425 1:1 3.33 GHZ. I can run 3d Mark, Orthos and stream Live TV to two other TVs. I've run that for a few days with no problems. I did try 7 and it worked fine but went with the more reliable FSB speed.

    Just thought I would give anyone a heads up to anyone With Vista 64 looking for a good tuner card. These things run so good that i'm streaming 1 HD show to the living room, 1 SD show to the bedroom and watching 1 HD on this PC while running Orthos on both of my cores and it's not dropping...
