Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
FYI, this is the most recent suggestion I recieved elsewhere to try out tonight:
It sounds like the 2nd card is losing power, or its being underclocked (like an idle state). Try installing MSI afterburner. Its a tweaking tool that can with allow for a bit more control over cards for...
Thanks Neon01,
I appreciate it, plus it's good to know. I've used these forums for years before this first posting. Its always helpful to have more infomration than not, if not for me than others.

New to overclocking but I think is a basic general question. This is related to something Ive posted in the GPU forum but distinct enough I thought I could ask a different question here.
Question:
Could the my systems inability to overclock, even mildly, be indicative of a larger CPU or...
Magoo, thanks again. No, nothing OCed. I don't even have it enabled. Drivers, I i've used all of the supported ones (even tried 13.30). Also, newest card bios from XFX for the cards. I didn't try any of the others (even though one of the cards it appears can be flashed to a 290x).
The...
Thank you CrackMoneky. (as for missing something, it's my own fault. I keep writng books here.)
When everything is set to normal, crossfired the cards run for about 10 to 15 minutes on a game.
I've never ran 2 cards and overclocked. I should have written my post a little differently...
Magoo. Thank you.
You got it sort of :) One GPU and no OC seems to be stable. Yes. I only mention the OC because I was getting frustrated with the Crossfire issue. I mention the OC only as it seems like a sympton (maybe). I've set it back a couple times. I know the automatic OC is...
Thanks lot for responding SSNyeder28 and VeryLost indeed. I appreciate it.
Fans and Temp. I have aftermarket coolers on the 290s that don't use the percent model. I run them full at 12 volts.
From above:
"Temps on the 290s now (top one runs hotter about 10c than the bottom one) never go...
UPDATES on my big old bag of woe.
I highlighted summaries and questions if you dont want to read all the testing back and forth.
And again, thanks for all the help.
OK, so I tested the motherboard/cpu for their temps (recommendation on another forum). Seemed fine, but just to be safe I...
Thanks guys. I really do appreciate you taking your time to help.
I hope the new PSU does the trick. I was holding out because, well $250 is a lot to spend after I just spent $130 for the Thermaltake.
I'll be sure to write back if it does. If it doesn't, I have no more ideas. Maybe I'll...
Thank you Venomous! I really appreciate your time and advice.
I hope you are right, I just spent... well about what I have left and ordered a Seasonic 1000W Platinum. I want this rig to work!
Thanks again.
I think I have my answer, but I would greatly appreciate any of your learned opinions. I also cross posted this in the PSU forum, I wasn't sure which was best.
Summary: I have a setup where I have two 290s in Crossfire. Sometimes the system runs stable. Other times, like last night, games...
