So, if you check this document then according to that... have a support for those resolutions in 98/ME , so any possibility for windows XP too...

because many GPU those are quite old dont have support for widescreen monitors, and that resolution will be supported or not, and i am not sure. And i will be using VGA. As per the previous link they showed a support for those resolutions but for 98/me, so looking any support for XP users too.

while searching i find out this answer which shows that geforce mx 440 will support this resolution but for windows 98/ME, so any chances for XP too ...

Sorry i fixed all the links.. and i search nvidia site and didnt find out any solution/answer of my question. so, looking answer from you experts.

On what basis you can say "Yes" , there is any support document for your answer. Because if you have written mistakenly, and i bought it then i have to bear a lot of loss. So, please confirm.

I am thinking of buying new 19inch or 20inch viewsonic monitor which have 1440 x 900 and 1680 x 1050 resolution respectively. In my system MSI Geforce MX440 graphics card is installed which supports resolutions till 2048 x 1536 but none of the above mentioned resolutions are mentioned inside...
