Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
As for Drizzt's question. Yes I live in a college apartment with a LAN. Only thing I had to do was plug in my network cable to the RJ-45 outlet in the wall. I cannot see or access any router.
and for YeOld yes I am using their nat to nat plugin right now. It does its job but it needs a...
Well I went over to a different lan and tried a NAT to NAT connection and got it to work. Now I am just hoping a Internet to NAT will work the same way. Only problem is that I have to use the very low quality setting on the viewer and every thing looks like complete A$$. Hopefully installing...
Alright I looked at the repeater and looks like I can make it work.......because my bros computer is connected directly to the net. So, am I even running a server on my college computer with this method? Also, If I understand my computer (college), will be connected to the internet computer...
So they only way I can use UltraVNC is basically but contacting my isp and telling them to somehow give me a static IP address? Do most ISP's charge for this.
Would port forwarding work in this situation?
alright, I went to gotomypc.com, unfortunetly you have to pay for that. So I did a search for proxy servers and came up with alist of a bunch of anonymous and unanonymous servers. Now how do I use the IP of these servers to benefit me?
Unreal, thanks for the quick reply and yes my IP is in one of those ranges. So how do I go about doing the static translation or the Remote Access Proxy.
I set up UltraVNC server on my machine. Now the problem is that I live in a college apartment complex with a LAN network. So accessing the router to forward ports is out of the question. Now I can access my Computer through my roomates computer, because we are in a LAN, but from a WAN i am...
You got the good Koolance with the half inch fittings. But yea i have the PC2-650. Can't complain since I got it for around $160. I have the Koolance 300 series cpu block.
Roffle, don't be disappointed if you don't even hit 2.7. Yes their is a wall with these 4400+ and people say it comes some where around 2.5 and 2.7. There are very few, and I mean very few over 3 ghz. Those are the people on Phase.
I am currently at 2.6 with my HTT at 3x at 1.49 volts...
figured it out guys. Test 8 showed no errors while test 5 went all to hell. Well right now I have it at 2.4 with 10hrs of prime stable at 1.49 volts. Gonna try to get abit more, if not i am gonna see how low i can get on voltage. The PWMIC is really starting to get warm now.
thanks buddy, I'll bump up the voltage I hate how inaccurate the MB and smartgurdian volt meters are.
Oh, by the way the ram is OCZ revision 2 platinum 3200.
Well I am tryin to overclock my 4400+. This is the situation. I really want to get 4800+ speeds that is my final goal. Well I ran it at 2.3 and it was prime stable for about an hour, till I turned it off. Then I went to 2.356 and I did 10 passes on Memtest test 8 with 0 errors. Now when I...
from reading the other forums, the people are saying that the 4400 and the 4800 should have about the same ceiling. Does everyone agree to that? I think that the ceiling on the 4400 is probably a little less. Now we are gonna take air cooling numbers only, since everyone knows that the...
seems like the 4400 can overclock to 4800 speeds, but how high can the 4800's get to?
I am building a computer and deciding between those two processors.
By the way the cooling will be done through a koolance.
