    Low response 26-28inch monitor.

No, the viewing angles are just atrocious. Anything larger than 20" has noticeable color change from top to bottom. Colors are bad, but not quite as bad. And blacks are still the good 'ol grays or dark blues.

    Low response 26-28inch monitor.

Those black bars are actually nice, just so you know, but if you insist on 1920x1080... you might have to go with a 24". Asus makes a 25.5" 1920x1080 IIRC. And just so you know, TN = shit viewing angles, crap colors, but always good response time.

help! is the 2408wfp the best monitor in the universe?

It never was the best, is not, and never will be. Nevertheless, its a good monitor. Better than TN. Just make sure you get Rev. A02 or A03.

When will 30 inch display become mainstream

I doubt 30" will become mainstream, but I bet 2560x1600 will. Just a guess, but, in the future I imagine 24" with 3840x2400, or so. To compensate for everything being so small, something can just enlarge it all. The gain? Sharper images, superior detail.

Why do we use such large PSUs?

And another thing to note, it seems that low-wattage units don't squeal or buzz, while expensive, large ones do, no matter the quality.

Why do we use such large PSUs?

I do find it odd that it works that way, but yes, it does. [ A large, say, 1000W at 200W load, 70% effeciency would have 60W of heat to dissipate. A 300W at 80% effeciency has just 40 watts to dissipate. ] While the 1000W would be at its minimum fan speed, cool, the 300W would be nearly max...

Why do we use such large PSUs?

Are you all forgetting silence? Since the fan will generally spin faster as loads go up, by buying a PSU with 2x the needed capacity, you can be much lower on the fan curve. If you have a PSU thats maxed out on the other hand, it will be at its max fan speed.

    Silent 750watt PSU

The PC P&C power supplies are easily some of the loudest made, including the silencers. I never found audio/rpm measurements on the HX750/HX850, but if its closer to the HX520/HX620, it will be very quiet. If its like the HX1000, it won't. The ZM850 is completely silent. I had one, but I...

    Dell U2410

So is this that 2410WA on the wikipedia "Dell Monitors" page? And is the 2607WFP the U2710 [ IIRC? ]

BenQ G2400WD does anyone else have this problem?

Mine developed one horizontally for awhile, but it went away. No clue why it came or why it went away. Complain to those assholes and have them pay shipping both ways.

traditional LCD HDTV vs PC Monitor used as a TV

TV's have much more technology. HDTVs generally use IPS or PVA panels, which are more expensive than the cheapy panels that go into typical, cheap, monitors. Plus they have better scalars, stands[generally], and more inputs, plus have built in speakers.

    BenQ G2400WD problem? kinda flickers...

Well, I always noticed mine appeared to be flickering or something like that. I figured in the end that it was my "visual snow", but now that you say you have a similar problem, I'm not sure. My guess is its dithering.

    Corsair HX850 Squeal

I've read it can be caused by the motherboard, psu, and gpu. Silverstone tells me that its not related to the coil, but to some sort of response mechanism. The faster you want the PSU to adapt to new loads, the more whining it makes. They say that there Strider series has the slowest response...

Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP really worth it?

No its not worth 800 cad. In the U.S. it can be had for about 377 cad. At that price, yes, it is worth it.

    DELL 2408wfp for $370 worth? + additional DC 5%

It all comes down to whats more important to you. Do you want a slightly smaller monitor that can't display 'Full HD' content, but has better viewing angles. or a monitor that can handle 'Full HD' and has 33% more pixels, but lacks excellent viewing angles (PVA contrast/gamma shift, black...
