Hello. I currently have 2x512mb of DDR400(cl 2.5) on an A8N-E. I also acquired 2x1GB of DDR266(also cl 2.5). Since the motherboard can't support both at the same time, I need to decide which one would I be better off with.
So what would you recommended? 1GB of DDR400 or 2GB of DDR266?
So you are saying that the performance gain that dual channel provides isn't worth the investment in identical memory? Same with CL2?
What I'm asking is - Which option seems better in your eyes;
Having 2x256 CL2.5 + 2x512 CL2.5 memory = 1.5GB CL2.5 DDR 400
Or
Getting 2x512 CL2 memory = 1GB...
Hello,
I have 2x256 MB of DDR 400 CL2.5 memory in my computer(Gigabyte 8IPE1000 mobo). I would like to have 1GB or more.
From what I understand DDR works best when there are two identical sticks in slots 1,3 or 2,4. The question is;
Would I be better off buying 2 more sticks of 256, one more...
