    Hey, the fan arrived today! I wasn't expecting it until next week! SVC rocks! Anyway, I'm idling at 45C. Awesome. Also, it didn't come with screws, surprisingly, so it's a good thing I kept the ones that that guy sent me to use with my fan that broke.

    Yep, exactly. Anyway, this new one is 30 CFM and 39 dBA. I'm not sure what my current stock AMD fan is in either of those departments, so we'll see how this new fan performs with my retail heatsink.

    I considered it, but I couldn't really get to the circuit board. I had to access the bottom of it, not the top, so taking the fan off wouldn't help, and there wasn't any real way to access the bottom, all those crosspieces are there.
