G73JH-X1 owner here. Threw a blu-ray player in and will add a secondary HD once I figure out the caddy issue. (X1 doesn't come with the caddy and ASUS currently doesn't have one available).
Anyway, mini review. If you're looking for small, then obviously this isn't for you. It's a large...
Agreed. I actually have the X1 and have put a Sony BD burner in it and it works great. Actually, I'm typing on my G73 now. :D
My recommendation is to get in on the X1 if the price drops a bit (little high currently) or wait for the A2. The A1 is going to be HARD to find in the wild for awhile yet.
BTW, the weight limit posted on the box is 330lbs. I've seen weights posted all over the place from 330 on CNN to 400 here. I've read that it can take more than that but that's what is printed on my box.
*edit* Changed weight from 300 to 330. Guess I can't read either. :p
Got mine this morning at 6am at Wal-Mart. Was about the 10th person out of 25 available Fits. My wife went back and bought another one so now I'm going to put one up on ebay. The things are heavy so it may be expensive to ship.
You can, and most people on this forum aren't going to look too favorably on this topic. Call them "backups" but... it's piracy. I'd recommend selling your computer and buying a new 360.
Has to do with good 'old HDCP. Any player can only upconvert over HDMI to my knowledge. Also... yeah, Bram Stoker's Dracula has pretty bad image quality, unfortunately. Check out some of Pixar or Disney's recent animation movies, Apocalypto, Pirates movies, Spidey 3 or any other # of movies that...
Adding to the Ben Hur example (nice picture by the way) while you may be "filling the screen" with the HD on demand movies, what you're actually doing is losing some of the picture. I like to see a movie as the director intended, in it's OAR (original aspect ratio). Otherwise you get nasty pan...
Actually the entire thing is like a German tax shelter. There's a big loophole in German tax law that allows them to write off large donations to "the arts" and that happens to include Uwe's movies. So, he signs up to make some crap, raises the necessary capital, and then they all get a write...
"The research team from Ruhr's Electrical Engineering and Information Sciences Department said the crack applies to all known car and building access control systems that rely on the KeeLoq cipher. It targeted and ultimately cracked its RFID as part of its research in embedded security. "The...
For me, downloading and streaming are fine (I don't have any online games on it yet). However, whenever I come out of a movie (BD/DVD or streaming) or a game it'll disconnect on me. I thought I had it solved when I realized my DNS settings were wack, but it still does it.
Wireless to Linksys...
Sure, customize their armor or the back of their head. :p
It's like Oblivion, only not not ugly. Total customization and the ability to create very realistic facial features. Show me another game that even comes close to Oblivion and Mass Effect in character creation.
I'm going to have to...
