Haha, I tried Noctua fans earlier, but it didn't have enough static pressure to really get air moving. They are, as you claim, whisper quiet though. The AP-15s after the rubber gaskets are a soft whisper though -- not much worse.
If I had time, I would've used this...
For anyone that is using an H100 with the case, I attached rubber gaskets between the fan and the radiator and it dramatically cut down noise escaping the top. I'm also using AP-15s with the H100, which may explain why I thought it was noisy.
Having a side window probably reduces the functionality of the sound dampening material (unless the window were really thick to block out noise). Just my thoughts.
I have the same problem. I connected my H100 to a fan controller and reduced pump RPM to 2050 and the sound went away. This is my second time RMA'ing an H100 and I decided...fuck it. Not worth it to keep spending UPS money to get faulty products back. I probably will not be buying another...
I just bought some sound barrier acoustic foam to fill up the case some more...I should receive it Thursday -- will post back on how it changes the case. Right now, the open space where the H100 radiator is lets too much noise out.
My thoughts on this case:
I was really anticipating this case because not only did it look sleek, it was marketed as a silent counterpart to the 500R.
Sound: To be honest, I don't think it dampens all that much noise. I close and open the panels and barely notice any sound difference. In...
Those and other similarly sized ones will probably fit. The H100 is super long, so it won't fit in the dragon slayer's top fan slot. Dragon Slayer has a fan space at the top for a 140 or 120 mm fan, so any radiator that uses those fans will probably fit.
Just eyeballing it, it looks like the...
I have the case right now. I don't think an H100 will fit unless you mount it on the side panel. Even then, it might be a tight fit if you have a tall CPU cooler. EDIT: I am retarded. H100 IS a CPU cooler. It probably won't fit because of the tube positioning.
As for the case, I liked it at...
I was planning on pulling air in because I don't want warm air cooling the radiator. I was going to do a layer of case, then fans underneath that, then the radiator.
