Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
First off, I am completely aware of the fact that you need a RE drive with TLER enabled for correct hardware RAID.
My question though is TLER needed for software (Windows and Linux) or firmware (onboard or fakeRAID) RAID setups? Will these implementations drop a HDD if it spends too much...
What I am trying to say is that while you can buy an OEM OS from newegg, OEM OS are only for OEMs like Dell and HP. You will not get support from MS.
What this means is that if you purchase an OEM Vista + Win 7 coupon DVD from newegg, the Win 7 coupon may have to be turned into an OEM...
Can I shed some light on this?
MS currently has SKUs (sorta like MPN) that relate to a version of Vista. MS has put out new SKUs on the 1st of this month to point to a new product which is "Vista + Win 7 Upgrade Coupon". These SKUs have been posted by MS, but the product going to these SKUs...
Has anyone noticed that the depth of this case is only 8.3" ?? That means that all powerful cards like GTX 250 and 4850 (9 inches) and GTX 260+ (10.5 inches) cannot be used in this case.
What is the point of a mini-ITX case that can take full sized PSUs and not accept full sized GPUs? To me...
Working in a small time computer builder company, I can explain why their warranties may include this.
For companies like AVADirect that do not keep stock, they send defective items back to the manufacturers for an RMA. It is then up to the manufacturers to send a new item or a repaired item...
Hey guys, seems the admins at RR are stepping in. http://www.resellerratings.com/forum/merchant-discussion-shopping-advice/141022-ava-direct-still-getting-away-murder.html#post1164512
I get what you guys are saying. But this is not a Dell or HP with basic parts. This is a high-end system with Enthusiast level parts. These types of things happen at this level and the end-user better be able to cope with the occasional snag.
And it just did not work out of the box...
You guys are so quick to blame the hardware assemblers when in fact this sounds more like a software/driver problem more than anything. Besides, this is [H], are you guys not ready for a challenge and help this guy?
What OS are you running? If its Vista-64, then installing certain programs...
OP,
Crysis was designed to run on NVidia GFX cards. Crysis DOES NOT AND WILL NOT scale past two GPUs with ATI. Infact, there is only a 10% increase from going 1 GPU to 2 GPUs using ATI HW. I strongly strongly recommend you use 2x GTX 280s.
if you do not believe me, check this page from...
This module was never designed to create voltage dividers or calculate anything. This module is designed to operate fans singally to detect where the most noise is coming from in the system.
The secondary function is to also adjust those loud fans down to a lower level to see where noise is...
I know that, but if a system is already wired, that means you have to unplug everything just to test that single fan. I just want to test that single fan without unwiring everything.
Also, I cannot adjust between all those voltages and settings as well by keeping everything plugged into the...
So I was trying to get my computer case as quiet as possible the other day. I did not have a means of operating a single case fan or CPU fan without turning on the whole system.
Does anyone know if there is a case/cpu fan tester module that plugs into a standard wall outlet that lets me run...
I have actually had experience with the Core i7 and an X58 motherboard. Here are my suggestions for you.
Mobo: Currently the Asus, Gigabyte, and eVGA mobos all look like winners. They all look like top overclockers and the Asus model is even available now for sale. Prices of the other two...
Most custom computer companies try hard NOT to keep stock of the computer parts they use. Keeping stock means that the value of the components goes down and thus makes the company lose money.
Places like Maingear, Puget, and even Dell buy quanity of the hardware they use. You are very...
