    Slot load optical drives ... where'd they go?

    Is it just me, or is it really hard to find a slot load drive these days? I have an older Pioneer 120S and a newer Plextor PX-716. The Pioneer is a bit dated and slow compared to the Plextor, and on occasion, certain discs make funny noises when they spin up. I fear that it may get replaced...
