    Like Jerec said you can use an image instead of the default search button, by specifying an image and link attribute. As for the search field you can style it with a background image, if it works with your site design.

    I like the overall design of your site, but like others have said, there is too much information on the home page. As a suggestion you could put the latest blog entries in a sidebar which would be easier to see and differentiate from other content.
