As a programmer I like to just have a ton of screen real estate. 3 widescreens is too wide and not tall enough. Widescreen monitors in portrait mode are just not wide enough for useful work. I had settled on two widescreens but I didn’t love that setup either.

A follow-up: I originally requested the repair on 5/19. It's 6/20 and I have yet to receive my repaired monitor. The status is "Progress" whatever that means. LG's last communication to me was on 6/6 that they received the product. It only took that long to get it to them because it took forever...
I bought two of these displays in January and have been fighting with burn-in on both of them. The burn-in is particularly bad when the display has a lot of gray on screen and lasts for way more than a few minutes. I've had to run a youtube video that cycles colors for hours to get the burn-in...
I don’t understand this line of thinking although I often hear it. You can use an an Nvidia card with this monitor.
I don’t want gsync and I don’t want to pay for it. I have an RTX 2080 Ti and I’ll be buying this monitor because:
I require 4K on the desktop because I never want to see another...
No, not really, that's a good point. The case has negative air pressure and I had totally forgotten about the air filters. I went ahead and ordered two air filters and two more fans for the hard-drive cages to act as intakes. It probably would have made more sense to remove one of the exhaust...
It was the RPMs and not the temps. The case is wide open and everything is running very cool. That's what I was talking about when I said I fixed it using ipmitool, that was to change the lower sensor threshold for the fan RPMs.
There isn't a good place in this case to put 2 all-in-one coolers for the dual procs. Perhaps a custom water cooling loop would have worked well but I haven't learned how to do that yet! Maybe my next PC.
