Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I saw your thread on the dell forum. That dell rep is a complete idiot.
You are correct. It worked right for several days and then turned completely green.
update on the quality of the 3 u3011's I've been through:
- custom color mode is broken: 2 out of 3 (yes I just got one that works right, surprise)
- whites on the right side look visibly more warm than the left side: 2 out of 3
- color is in some way not uniform from one side to the other...
srgb definitely feels washed out when you first switch to it after using the full color capability of the screen, but if you use it for a while it gets to feel right again.
You can set the preset to sRGB and then use your video card's control panel to bump up the saturation or "vibrance," but...
Folks in the u3011 thread have been discussing how if the monitor wakes up from sleep and then is switched to the "custom color" mode then the color goes all wonky- I've been through 2 of them and they both did this.
Have any of you noticed this on u2711?
Thanks.
Does anyone know if the custom color glitch after sleep happens also with u2711? I'm on my second u3011 and they both get really weird if switching to custom color mode after sleep.
I was able to go into the service menu and recalibrate the RGB of "Standard" mode using the 6500k controls...
