    Updating 1.5 year old rig

I read his alternatives but I meant alternatives that didn't have raid 0 or too many pcie slots. It would only waste money since I won't be using them.

    Updating 1.5 year old rig

Okay thanks, I'll just keep it for now, it plays BO and DOTA flawlessly. Is there a significant difference between the 2500k and the 2400? If the ratio between performance and difference in price is good, I might as well go 2500k. Also, I'm thinking of replacing my 5 year old case for another...

    Updating 1.5 year old rig

Meh, I won't be upgrading for another 2-3 years. Even if I upgrade my ram, I'll probably replace it with a 2x4gb. So maybe I won't need more room for RAM, For PCIe slots, I might need a few extra for an sound card, and what not. As for my Radeon HD 4890, you think I'll need to upgrade it? I'll...

Overclocking (unlocked core) Phenom II x3 720

Okay, I'll try to up my voltage. Is it the CPU over voltage? EDIT: Ran OCCT with 4th core unlocked 15.5x (3.1 ghz) + 1.5v, PC shutdown in a matter of minutes. I guess my 4th core is bad, so I left at triple core running 16x (3.2 ghz) + 1.45 volts. Will post up results after.
