The electronic panel of the hdd is damaged due to the power supply failure. Instead of 12 V the voltage was higher (I suppouse). Somebody told me, that even if the disk is intact and you get a working electronic panel from the same model of hdd, neither this way cannot get your datas back...

I have a 120 Gb Seagate and the electronic panel of it is broken but the disk is intact. If I change the panel, can I recover the datas from the hard drive?
