I have the 23EA63V-P and it is set to the correct sharpness setting. No matter what i change or fiddle with, if i hit reset, it always goes back to the correct setting. Just thought i'd point out that i've got the smaller version and it doesn't do that.
I just bought one of those, the 23EA63V-P from Best Buy. I had the S2440L, but the glare from that glass screen ultimately could not be resolved, so I wanted to replace it. I tried several, but didn't like them. Before this, I bought Samsung's 24" PLS screen, and it had some fiercely bad back...
Well, as far as improvements made, I would have to say that it is quite clear. I still have my Samsung 215TW, and I brought it out of storage and fired it up next to my S2440L after i bought the monitor a while ago. As I remembered, the 215TW had some very bad gamma shifting and black crush...
I agree completely, the 212+ is a very solid cooler. I wouldn't, at all, go with what was linked, for the same reason I don't want the NH-D14. I would rather use the 212+ because it is very good for the price, and those ones are just way too big for my tastes. I have already seen some reviews...
Thanks for all the good advice. I just now, today, had an idea to build a desktop for use in my workshop. It wouldn't be used as heavily as this one, so I figured that I would put the 2500K into that, and use this HSF and case in that computer. I do often times find myself encoding video from...
Well, I've been doing research for the last week or two. It seems i've encountered a hardware problem with my ASUS P8P67 Pro, and I suspect it has been there for a while. Anyways, I was thinking of replacing the motherboard, but I have kicked around the idea of upgrading. I obviously don't...
You know, I agree 100% with what NCX said. I didn't realize how bad the quality control on IPS was until I decided to replace my U2410 (it began having troubles). I tried one from ASUS (not the ProArt series, admittedly) and it had some serious QC problems (massive backlight bleed), then went...
Indeed. I knew this at the time of posting that and this morning, slapped my forehead because I should've known, heh. I went to purchase one but couldn't find the 50 series, and that's when I said "oh of course, DUH" lol. I'll have to wait for that 60 series to come out, I suppose. I'd...
Well, I used the U2410 for a long time and then went to A-MVA and I can say that it was worth it. I actually didn't realize that the U2410 had such poor black levels, even in comparison to other IPS screens, until I read reviews recently when I wanted to replace it. I was always constantly...
Thanks for the replies. I didn't even think about the Benq, and I should have. That would perhaps be the perfect choice for them. I know there is PWM @ 255Hz like that review stated, but I'm sure it will be okay. Plus, it appears that the overdrive is a bit better than the S2440L, from what...
Hello again! Yes, I still have the S2440L. It has proven to be a very nice monitor for me, very nice indeed. However, a friend of mine has a monitor whose CCFL is failing and i'm really in need of an opinion. I gave them my U2410, and they said the hard AG coating gave them headaches. That...
I once had the Samsung SyncMaster 215TW S-PVA monitor and the viewing angles aren't bad at all. They aren't visibly worse than S-PVA and I had no problems at all with them. I found that, in order for the shift to be real bad, I had to be at a very extreme angle. On my Samsung, when watching...
