    In fact you are wrong and right there is no desktop i7 under 2.5GHz, but my board supports running a Intel Core i7 Quad-core I7-720QM 1.6GHz Mobile Processor OverClocked at 2.4GHz. I'm about to do a cpu upgrade.. still cant decide which one I want. any ideas?

    your bios is corrupted go to dos and type. atiflash.exe -f -p 1 biosname.bin -f is to force the flash, 1 designates the slot the card is in.

    Reset bios by moving jumper on mobo.. If that doesnt work try to just insert the Asus 4870 in the pcie slot without the other VC hooked up.

    I just replaced the same card your thinking of buying.. It has bottleneck issues with the 128-bit memory interface.. it ran crysis 2 fine but lagged out on NWN2 full out.. Its a good card but there is so many other much nicer dx11 cards out there look around before you buy this..
